5.21 Concerning the brightness difference display
function
The difference in the brightness level between the left and right signals of 3D
(stereoscopic) images can be checked by selecting the Y-Difference display function on
the Overlap display in Compare Mode 1. Doing this emphasizes the parallax in the 3D
images.
When Owner CH > Another CH, the brightness difference is displayed in shades of gray
toward white.
When Owner CH = Another CH, the brightness difference is displayed in a mid-value
shade of gray.
When Owner CH < Another CH, the brightness difference is displayed in shades of gray
toward black.
Example: Selecting the Y-Difference display function, and inputting the right-eye image to
SDI A1 and the left-eye image to SDI B1

When 3D moving images are to be checked, select Dual Link for the input channel. When
Dual Link has been set, the combined images can be checked with no delay between the
two input signals.
When monitoring stereoscopic images, connect the right-eye image to SDI A1/2
and the left-eye image to SDI B1/2.
NOTE
For details on how to set the input channel to Dual Link and the cautions to be
observed, refer to “5.9 Concerning the Dual Link Input Settings.”
