5.20 Concerning checking 3D image using the
anaglyph system
Three-dimensional (stereoscopic) images can be checked by selecting the Anaglyph
display function on the Overlap display in Compare Mode 1. At 3D production sites using
actually shot images, this makes it possible to check the sense of depth and other aspects
easily without having to carry in a bulky 3D monitor to the location. Special eye-glasses
(red for the left eye and cyan for the right eye) are required to view stereoscopic the
images.
Example: Selecting the anaglyph display function, and inputting the right-eye image to SDI
A1 and the left-eye image to SDI B1

When 3D moving images are to be checked, select Dual Link for the input channel. When
Dual Link has been set, the combined images can be checked with no delay between the
two input signals.
When monitoring stereoscopic images, connect the right-eye image to SDI A1/2
and the left-eye image to SDI B1/2.
NOTE
For details on how to set the input channel to Dual Link and the cautions to be
observed, refer to “5.9 Concerning the Dual Link Input Settings.”
