Before reinstalling the adapter and collar assembly, look down into the bore in the syringe body and ensure that the alignment
pin is in place. With the spring in place in the collar, align the slot in the collar with the pin, then push the collar into the
syringe body. Tighten the adapter firmly (30-35 in. lbs. torque). If you don’t have a torque measuring device, hold the hex key
by the short end, with the long end in the tip adapter. If you tighten the adapter as tightly as you can while holding the tool
this way, you will have approximately the right torque.
7.4 Servicing the Foot control
If the foot control (see Figure 7.4 - A) is leaking air or sticks after being pressed, the
O-ring may require lubrication or replacement.
cAUTiOn:
The valve is under air pressure and the stem and spring will pop
out. Ensure that the air pressure is turned off to the foot control and that the
pressure has been exhausted.
After relieving the air pressure to the foot control, turn it over and remove the
outside screws from the bottom. This will allow the dome and the retaining ring to
be removed.
Once the dome and the retaining ring have been removed, remove the valve stem and spring from the valve body. Lubricate
the stem with O-ring grease and replace. Ensure that the springs are properly seated around the stem. Replace the screws that
hold the retaining ring and dome in place.
7.5 Opening cover to Delivery System
WARninG: electrical Shock
Electrical Shock Caution: Electrical connections and circuit boards are exposed. Unplug the system or shut off the
power before accessing internal components.
1. Lift up and remove the worktop.
The worktop is secured using high grade plastic Velcro. Due to its weight and the holding power of the plastic Velcro, it will
require firm lifting in order to remove.
2. To access the electrical and pneumatic components, locate and remove the top screws securing the rear electrical safety
cover (see Figure 7.5-A). Carefully lift the safety cover (see Figure 7.5-B) and set aside.
