Headset
Frequent users of the telephone may find it more convenient to connect a headset to the Eurit 40.
When the «Headset» function is activated you can answer or terminate a call via the headset by
pressing the Loudspeaker key.
While the ”Headset” function is active the icon

appears on the display.

Data preservation in the event of power failure
After a power failure the time information and the alarm time are lost.
After a prolonged power failure (longer than 48 hours) the following are either maintained or lost:
– Still existing: card file, all recorded announcement texts.
– Lost: all other settings.
Service menu
Using the Service menu you can reset to the factory default settings either all functions simulta-
neously or individual functions of your Eurit 40.
You have the following possibilities:
–
Full reset:
All functions of your Eurit 40 are reset to the factory defaults. All settings you have
made are cancelled.
–
Lock:
Your telephone set is protected against unwanted program modifications. Programming is
not possible while the ”lock” function is active. (Also refer to the Section: ”Programming lock”,
Page 48).

Reset PIN code:
The PIN code is reset to 1234 (factory default). (Also refer to the Section
”Changing the PIN code for remote message retrieval”, Page 62).
–
Reset TAD:
All announcement texts and all messages on the telephone answering machine are
cancelled.
–
Reset card file:
All entries are deleted.
