Caregiver Obligations
Caregiver obligations shall be carried out by personnel with
sufficient
Century
bath knowledge following the instructions in
this
IFU
.
If the product deviates from normal (function or in appearance)
immediately contact your local ArjoHuntleigh Service for
support.
Between Patients
•
Clean and disinfect:
Before every use, make sure the
Century
bath is cleaned and
disinfected according to section
Cleaning and Disinfection
Instructions on page 21
.
Every Day
Check liquid levels
: Check liquid levels in the bottles of disin-
fectant, shampoo and bath oil (
ArjoSound
water conditioner).
Every Week
•
Visually check all exposed parts (2 steps)
: Especially
where personal contact is made by either the patient or the
caregiver.
1 Make sure no cracks or sharp edges have developed that
could cause the patient or caregiver injury or become
unhygienic and can cause cross-contamination. Any use
of chlorine, alcohol may damage the bathtub and cause
cracks. If there is such damage, contact qualified
personnel.
2 Check all screws are tightened.

Visually check hoses, pipes and connections
: Visually
inspect for leaks of any kind by looking underneath the
bathtub and behind the panel.
•
Perform functionality test
: Test all panel and disinfection
functions. With the water on, check the shower handle for
damage
•
Hydrosound system functionality test (2 steps):
If the bath
is equipped with
Hydrosound
system, perform a self test to
check that the ultra sound intensity levels are correct.
1 To perform a self test, start the
Hydrosound
system from the
control panel.
2 Turn the intensity knob to
Test
.
The
Hydrosound
system has successfully passed the self test if
the LED (
A
) shows a steady yellow light. A flashing yellow
light indicates a problem, contact qualified personnel.
