5.5.22.
Fan Alarm
This allows the user to disable the fans currently running on the unit. If a single power supply is fitted,
there will be 1 fan fitted, if dual power supplies are fitted, then 2 fans will be fitted.
This option will disable any fans which are fitted. So if it is a single PSU unit, one fan will be disabled and
if it is a dual PSU unit, both fans will be disabled.
5.5.23.
Switch Box
The user can enable APT SwitchBox (separate hardware) control from here. If On is selected, the user is
prompted for a timeout in seconds from 5 to 30 seconds. This means that if the switchbox is connected
via a suitable cable to the alarm outputs of the Equinox/Astral codec, in the event of an alarm condition,
the unit will switch to another Equinox connected to the switchbox using the alarm outputs.
5.5.24.
Disable Authentication
This allows the user to disable unit authentication which would have been enabled from the NMS.

5.6.1. Configuring IP port
Note:
Check that both ends of the link are set to the same IP mode, i.e. IP legacy or IP 3

party leg-
acy. Failing to check this could result in a loss of audio.
5.6.2. Setup IP Directory
An IP speed dial defines all of the information needed to set up an audio over IP connection to a remote codec
– IP address/port number, packet size and Quality of Service value for transmit links, receive buffer size for re-
ceive links. In addition you can add up to 8 additional transmit link IP addresses if you are using multiple
unicast. It is possible to configure up to 256 speed dials.
