Note:
AUX/Relay data will not work over a separate IP stream in multicast. It will only work in em-
bedded. This is because aux/relay is sent over a UDP stream, not an RTP stream which is the one
that is multicasted
Note:
If embedded Auxiliary Data and/or embedded relays are selected and input silence de-
tect/bandwidth flexing is detected, auxiliary data will be suspended until audio has been detected.
6.7.4. Aux
– Opto/Remote (if hardware modification is included)
This option will only become present if the hardware modification for GPIO over MPEG detailed in the Engi-
neering Manual version 1.5 is carried out. This modification allows the use of GPIOs over MPEG whereas pre-
viously, the only algorithm which supported GPIOs was Enhanced aptx.
Note also that prior to setting up the GPIO option, the aux data must be setup first. Aux must be set to 2400 or
greater.
Configuring Opto/Remote inputs
If the 4 Relay option is selected, only relays 1,5 6 & 7 are active, the remainder will be greyed out. Re-
lays 2, 3 and 4 will remain greyed out and are not in use.
