The following additional algorithms are available
AES 16bit Pass
AES 20bit Pass
AES 24bit Pass
These algorithms are used for DolbyE signal passthrough in a simplex fashion.
MPEG 2/4 AAC-LC, MPEG 4 AAC LD, MPEG 4 AAC ELD and MPEG 4 AAC HE v1/v2 are all chargeable algo-

6.6.4.1
Audio Alarms/Silence Detection
To set an alarm for loss of output audio check the relevant checkbox and use the drop down to set a level at
which the alarm will be triggered.
A timeout period (i.e. condition must be true for a certain period before alarm is triggered) can be set by either
entering a number in the box or by using the and buttons to change the displayed number.
This option allows you to set up an audio alarm for loss of audio input to the unit. As well as generating an
alarm enabling silence detect on input also does the following:-
Whenever the unit is using IP as the primary connection and the Input Silence Detect alarm is
triggered the unit will stop sending audio on the IP stream and instead send low bandwidth
“keep alive” messages. This has the effect of reducing the IP bandwidth used by the unit when-
ever there is no useful audio to send.
Whenever the unit is using X.21 as the primary connection and the Input Silence Detect alarm is
triggered the unit will negate the X.21 CONTROL interface signal. This can then be used to sig-
nal other equipment in the network. When the input signal is applied again the CONTROL line is
re-asserted.
This alarm is configured in the same way as the audio output alarm.
If loss of digital input is checked and the digital XLR is removed (i.e. no AES clock) then this alarm will trigger.
