Cnx
– IP Connect / SIP Connect
This tab will either be IP Connect or SIP Connect depending on whether IP or SIP primary mode has
been chosen.
SIP allows for the auto negotiation of the IP to the other codec and can auto negotiate algorithm, bitrate,
packet size, port, etc without user intervention.
Clicking on the IP Connect tab allows you to make a connection between two units over an IP link using a
previously configured IP speed dial.
IP Connect screen
You may enter a cost code for the connection before connecting the IP speed dial.
To start the connection simply select the IP speed dial from the drop down list
– the relevant parameters of the
speed dial will be displayed (Tx IP address, Rx latency, IP Port, IP packet size, Quality of Service etc.). A de-
fault audio profile for the IP speed dial will also be used but you can overwrite this by choosing an alternative
audio profile from the drop down list. In this case
is displayed to indicate that an alternative
Audio Profile is being used.
You can enter a cost code for this connection.
Click on Connect to start the IP connections. When they are all con-
nected the unit will start sending audio over the IP connection using the
selected audio profile
Click on Drop to disconnect the IP connection and stop sending audio.
If the IP speed dial is a transmit route the IP Tx indicator will change to green. If the IP speed dial is a receive
route and the unit is receiving IP packets the IP Rx indicator will change to green. A transmit and receive pack-
et count will also be displayed as long as the connection is enabled.
