6.3.15.4 Audio Settings
The audio preferences can be selected by pressing the add button. Once the algorithm and bit rate have
been selected, these are then added to the list along with other algorithms if required. The preferred or-
der can be changed using the up and down arrows on the right hand side. Note that there is a maximum
of 8 algorithms available at any one time on the list.
The preferred algorithms shall be sent as a list (in the order configured in the dialogue) embedded within
the SDP message that is carried with a SIP Invite message. The remote UA will remove all unsupported
algorithms and return the list in response to the SIP Invite. The order of the original list is always main-
tained. The algorithm that is now at the top of the returned list is then used in the RTP session.
