Chapter 6. Maintain the chassis
2. Hold on to the thumbscrews and pull the controller directly towards you:

To install a controller:
1. Line up the controller with the controller slot on the back of the chassis.
2. Push the controller firmly into the chassis.
3. Tighten the thumbscrews on both sides of the controller.
4. The controller is automatically powered up.
System recovery
If the system is in a locked state, please contact APCON Professional Services for
technical assistance (see how to
on page 10). Be prepared to provide
details about hardware installed in the system, as well as the current version of software.
This section describes a recovery process when a controller is in a locked state.
NOTE
The APCON 3000 Series chassis controller (ACI-3001) is not compatible with the
ACI-3144-XR
chassis. Use only an ACI-3002 controller for an I
NTELLA
F
LEX
XR chassis.
CAUTION
Remember to regularly back up all data and settings. The system recovery
procedure resets the chassis to factory defaults and
erases all data, settings, and
connections
on the switch.
IMPORTANT
This procedure is not intended to be used on a routine basis. Use this only when the
system hangs and you cannot recover by simply rebooting.
