10.4. WEEKLY CHECKS

Verifications
Electric brakes
This test must be performed on a flat surface with at least one gauge
of free space around the chair.
• Turn on the control system.
• Check that the battery gauge stays on or flashes slowly after
one second.
• Push the joystick slowly forward until you hear the electric
brakes come into operation. It is possible that the chair might
start to move.
• Release the joystick immediately, you should hear each electric
brake engage after a few seconds.
• Repeat the test three times by pushing the joystick backwards,
left and right.
Options
If your wheelchair is equipped with headlights, turn signals or a seat
adjusting cylinder, check that they are working correctly.
Connectors
Make sure all connectors are plugged in and are not damaged.
Cables
Inspect the cables to make sure they are not damaged.
Joystick boot
Inspect the rubber boot around the base of the joystick to make
sure it is not damaged or cracked. Check visually only, do not handle
the boot.
Assembly
Make sure the controller is securely attached to your wheelchair.
Do not over-tighten the screws.
Tyre pressure
Make sure the tyre pressure meets the specifications given in section
7.5.5. pneumatic pressure.
Tyre
Check tyre wear.
