Troubleshooting
When you are using BCS (Basic Control Structure) commands, one common
troubleshooting strategy is to check the command and reenter it. Often the
command has simply been entered incorrectly (e.g., omitting an output in a
Change command), or the command has specified a value that is not valid (e.g.,
entering a decibel value in a Volume command that is outside the range for the
audio board). If an error code “
E#
” or warning code “
W#
” message appears, note
the specific number and check Appendix A (System Error Codes) at the end of
the “BCS Serial Protocol” manual.
1.5 BCS Response Table
The following table shows BCS response characters, with descriptions and
meanings, that may appear instead of an entered character or number. If these
characters appear, all or part of the command is not executed.
