Only install / remove the PTO shaft with the drive shaft turned
off, the hand brake applied, the engine switched off and the
ignition key removed.
If you are caught up in a rotating shaft, it can cause serious
injury or even death.
Always ensure that the PTO shaft is installed and secured
correctly.
13. Disengage the tractor universal joint shaft,
engage the tractor parking brake, shut off
the tractor engine and remove the ignition
key.
14. Attach and properly secure the PTO shaft
halves into the PTO shaft connection of
the tractor.
15. Fasten the safety chains (Fig. 67/1) of the
PTO shaft protective pipes

to the implement (see Fig. 67)

to the tractor.
16. Follow the installation instructions of the
PTO shaft manufacturer fastened to the
PTO shaft.
