This command enables SNMP management access and also enables this device to
send SNMP traps (i.e., notifications). Use the
no
form to disable SNMP service and
trap messages.

• This command enables both authentication failure notifications and
link-up-down notifications.
• The
snmp-server host
command specifies the host device that will receive
SNMP notifications.
