Changing Authentication
You must set the authentication mode to be used by the LCS server. The default
installation supports both NTLM and Kerberos authentication.
Note:
Kerberos is more secure and is the default of an Active Directory installation.
If clients are members of Active Directory domains configured with Kerberos
certificates, LCS will attempt to authenticate the Kerberos certificate before
performing the NTLM authentication. Authentication failures can result if the Active
Directory that issues the certificate is not recognized or not reachable by LCS. Using
NTLM authentication only will avoid these failures. However, there is a potential loss
of security.

Locate your server in the Microsoft Office Live Communications Servers and pools.
