Note:

This step is critical for Active Directory Forest construction. The DNS

configuration must be created prior to or during the Active Directory configuration so
that the Forest may be automatically populated with the required configuration records
during the running of the Active Directory Wizard. The additional forest records
created during this step are critical for domain authentication to properly function.
g. Choose to install permissions compatible only with Windows 2000 and 2003.

Compatibility with pre-Windows 2000 servers are not required and will constrain

the domain.

h. Complete the Wizard. It may take a while for the Active Directory configuration to

finish.
