GB 8
To sharpen the saw chain, use the suitable sharpening
tools:
−
Round chain file Ø =4,0 mm,
−
File leading
−
Chain measuring calibre.
These tools can be bought in any specialised stores.
To gain well shaped sawdust particles, use
sharp chain. If there appears wooden powder,
you must sharpen the saw chain.
All cutting teeth must be similarly long. Different
length of the teeth can cause rough run of the
chain or its rupture, as well.
Minimum length of the teeth must be 4 mm. If they are
shorter, remove the saw chain.
Angles, which the teeth are under, must be followed.
When using the recommended sharpening tools
and the proper manipulation, the recommended
values of angles A and B (see picture. 18) will
be set automatically.
To sharpen the chain basically, make 2 to 3 pulls of the
file from the inside out according to the picture. 19.
When having wrong sharpened chain, there may
occur a higher danger of kickback.
After 3 to 4 of your sharpening of the cutting
teeth, have the saw chain sharpened in any
authorised service. They will sharpen the depth
limiter as well, which provides the distance D
(see picture 18).
5.2
Inner Sprocket Cleaning
After any use of the chain saw, clean the saw properly.
1. Release the muffler cover (see picture 1).
2. Clean the inner interior with the little brush.
3. Screw the screw of the chain tension (2/1) to the left
up to the stop.
4. Remove saw chain and guide bar.
5. Clean the groove on the bar and the hole for oil
supply.
5.3 Guide
Bar
To avoid one-side wear, turn the guide bar after each
sharpening and chain change.
Regularly check whether the guide bar is not damaged.
Remove any possible coating (see picture 20).
1. Properly clean grooves of the bar (20/1) and the
hole for oil supply (20/2).
2. Properly clean the hole for lubrication (21/1) on the
end of the guide bar (from both sides).
3. Press as much lubrication to the holes using the
lubrication press on both sides until the lubrication
runs out on the tops of the turner equally. Turn the
turner at the same time.
