The Standard Event Register
The Standard Event register reports the following types of instrument
events: power-on detected, command syntax errors, command execution
errors, self-test or calibration errors, query errors, or when an
*OPC
command is executed. Any or all of these conditions can be reported in the
Standard Event Summary bit (ESB, bit 5) of Status Byte register through the
enable register. To set the enable register mask, you write a decimal value to
the register using the
*ESE
(Event Status Enable) command.

An error condition (Standard Event register bits 2, 3, 4, or 5) will
always record one or more errors in the power supply's error queue. Read
the error queue using the
SYSTem:ERRor?
command.
