Updating the AIC Rev B Software

When you upgrade your EZChrom Elite software to the latest
revision, you need to upgrade the software on all AIC Rev B
units you are using. If you are upgrading to EZChrom Elite
Version 3.3.2, you may also need to upgrade the firmware
image on your AIC which requires the use of the G6797AA AIC
update DVD. Refer to the instructions provided with the
G6797AA kit to perform the upgrade.

Update the EZChrom Elite Software

If you are upgrading to a new revision of EZChrom Elite, but
you do not need to upgrade your AIC image, you will need to
install the new software version on your AIC using this
procedure.

This procedure requires the use of a USB memory stick. You
can use any empty memory stick with a capacity of 2GB or
more. After the upgrade, a module validation report is
automatically generated and copied to the memory stick to
allow verification of the upgrade.

Note

For AICs with Elite 3.1 or 3.1.4 installed, it is
necessary to upgrade the AIC image to
support this automatic upgrade. Please
contact your local service representative for
assistance.

Copy all of the folders (but NOT the files in the root) from
the Options CD to the USB memory stick. Copy all of the
folders (but NOT the files in the root) from any separate
Option CDs you may have.

2.

Copy the Elite folder, only, from the “AIC Image Update”
folder of the Elite Installation CD to the USB memory
stick. (Not the

Elite

folder from the root of the CD!) The

USB drive should look similar to the following:
