AIC Revision B Installation and Configuration
Step 4. Add a domain user to the AIC local Administrators
group
Since users will not be logging on the AIC to perform everyday
tasks, the AIC needs a domain account with access to the
enterprise path.
1.
Click
Start
, right-click
My Computer
, and then click
Manage.
2.
On the console tree, click
System Tools
followed by
Local
Users and Groups
and then click
Groups.
3.
In the right pane, double-click
Administrators
.
4.
Type the domain and then click
Add
. Click
OK.
5.
When prompted, enter the network credentials for user with
rights to verify users on the domain. Click
OK
followed by
OK
.
Step 5. Run DCOMServerSettings
This program is used to provide a context for the AIC to
communicate with the domain and the Enterprise.
1.
Select
Start
and then click
Run
.
2.
Type
“c:\EZChrom Elite\DCOMServerSettings.EXE”
(inlcude
the quotation marks) and click
ENTER
.
3.
Make the following entries:
* Select "Auto Logon" for the "Run As" selection
Enter the username and password of the network user that
was added to the local Administrators in the section
Domain User to the AIC Local Administrators Group
(remember that the password will need to be changed here
if the user's password is changed on the network). The name
must be entered as xxx\yyy where xxx is the domain and
yyy is the username.
