Remove the cap from the diffusion pump (diffusion pump 
MSDs only.)

Connect the foreline pump power cord to the receptacle on 
the rear of the MSD.

C A U T I O N

Turning on the power to the MSD with the diffusion pump cap installed 
will result in serious damage to the instrument. See the instructions 
taped to the MSD.

WA R N I N G

The foreline pump must be plugged into the receptacle provided in 
the back of the MSD in order to have adequate overcurrent 
protection. Plugging the pump into a wall outlet will void the 
warranty on the pump.
