Maintenance
1.
Prepare a clean, static-free work pad or container to place the controller.
2.
For replacing single-controller models or both controllers simultaneously, shut
the system down. Stop all I/O access to the system and ensure all cached writes
have been distributed to disk drives using the firmware’s Main Menu -> System
Functions > Shutdown controller function. Power off the system and turn off the
power switches and unplug the power cords from PSUs.
3.
Disconnect all cables connected to the controller module.
4.
Loosen the screw securing the control module ejection levers.
5.
Push the ejection levers downwards (indicated by the blue arrows).
The controller module will automatically ease out of the controller module bay.
