3 Menu Operations

Enable

Check the box to activate the Alarm function.

Event Type

Make your selection from the dropdown: Local Alarm, Net Alarm, IPC Ext Alarm or IPC Offline Alarm.

•

Local Alarm.

The system detects the alarm signal from the alarm input port.

•

Network Alarm.

The system detects the alarm signal from the network.

•

IPC External Alarm.

The system detects the alarm signal from the front-end device and

activates the local hybrid DVR.

•

IPC Offline Alarm.

The system generates an alarm when the front-end IPC disconnects from

the local hybrid DVR. The alarm can activate a recording, PTZ, snapshot, etc. The alarm lasts
until the IPC and the hybrid DVR resume their connection.

Note:

•

Before operation, make sure you have properly connected alarm devices such as the
buzzer.

•

If this is your first time booting up the device, the status of the front-end network
camera will not be regarded as offline. After one successfully connection, all
disconnection events will be regarded as an IPC Offline Alarm.

•

When an IPC Offline Alarm Occurs, the record and snapshot functions of the digital
channel are not available.
