Driver Installation
To install drivers and utility for cPCI-6760D, please refer to the
installation information in this chapter. The basic information is
provided in this manual however, for further installation
information, such as non-Windows OS installation, please refer to
the ADLINK CD. Chip drivers can be found in the following
directories:
In this user’s manual, the bus-mastering IDE driver installation is
not described as most Windows based OS will install these drivers
automatically.
As Windows NT is a non-Plug and Play OS, below are some tips
for installing Windows NT:
1. Install the LAN driver before installing any service pack.
2. Install the VGA/AGP driver after installing the service
pack. Ensure the service pack supports AGP. ADLINK
recommends using service pack 6 or higher.
3. Should a warning occur during the NT booting
procedure, check the Event Viewer to ascertain the
problem. If the problem cannot be solved, re-install the
Windows NT service pack, then re-install the drivers in a
different sequence.
