What’s New in GuardianOS v4.0
Note
Starting with GuardianOS v4.0, Backup Express is no longer supported.
GuardianOS v4.0 introduced the following notable changes to the web
admnistration interface:

New (4.0) Functionality
Add-on Features
Add-on and 3rd-party features are now managed
together on the
SnapExtensions
page,
accessible from the home page’s Site Map or by
clicking the SnapExtensions icon in the upper right corner
of the Administration tool.
Changing the Admin User
Password
Local users, including the admin user, are managed from
the
Security > Local Users
page. Select the admin user
from the user list and click
Properties
to change the
password.
Windows Networking
Windows networking settings, including domain joining,
are now located on a single page,
Network > Windows
.
View all disks (formerly from
Storage > Devices page)
The new
Storage > Disks/Units
page displays a graphical
view of all disks for the head unit as well as for any
attached expansion units, allowing you to move your
mouse over a disk to highlight all of the disks in a particular
RAID set.
Share Management
Share creation, modification, and access privileges are
now all managed from a single page,
Security > Shares
.
Also, the process of assigning user and group access to a
share has been greatly improved.
