Commands relative to the WDM module
LEVEL:NOW?
Last acquisition channel level?
LEVEL:AVG
Average channel level?
LEVEL:MIN?
Minimum channel level?

Returns the current results in a file.
Acterna file format: WDM or BWDM. The BWDM file is the
same as the WDM one but the size of the file is given in
front of the response.
TABle?
Returns the current table in a file in ASCII format.
TABle:STATus
Returns "UPDATED" if a new table can be read. Otherwise
returns "NOT UPDATED".
Reading the buffer storing the trace
The current curve is stored in a buffer.
Capacity of this buffer: 4 x number of points.
Each point is coded using four ASCII characters on 16 bits.
Command used to read the buffer:
OTResult:BUFFer?
Example of response for a buffer of 2000 points:
In this example, for the first point, the y value is 217F in signed hexadecimal. To
know the value in dB process as follows:
•
convert 217F in signed decimal: 8575
•
use the commands given below to know the coefficients A and B
•
value in dB with the given examples:
A*y + B =(-2.939746e-03 x 8575) + 34.590000= 9.382 dB
