Using the OTS module

Light Source Softkeys
The following softkeys are available when the laser source function is selected
from the OTS Results window:
<Laser On> / <Laser Off> (or <LED on> / <LED Off>)
used to switch the light on and off. When <Source> is
selected from the OTS Results window the <Laser On> (or
<LED on>) switches on the source and the other specific
source softkeys are displayed. When the source is on the
softkey is labelled <Laser Off> (or <LED off)> and the icon
is displayed next to the wavelength indicator.
Note
None of the following softkeys are available unless the source is on.
<Toggle Laser> (or <Toggle LED>)
switches between the two wavelengths: 1310 and 1550 nm
with laser source, 850/1300 nm with LED source.
Note
None of the following softkeys are available unless the CW transmis-
sion mode is selected.
<Send
Lambda>
transmits a lambda signal to the Power meter to
automatically switch the power meter to the wavelength of
the source.
<Mode>
this key allows the transmission mode to be chosen: CW or
modulated frequency: 270Hz, 330Hz, 1KHz, or 2KHz.
With laser source, if the CW and variable power option has been selected, the
arrows keys increases and decreases the laser output power. It is then displayed
on the left side of the screen.
<Return>
exits the source functions and returns the <Source> and
<Power meter> selection softkeys.
