ACE-3105, ACE-3205 Ver. 5.2
Overview
1-3
Clock Recovery
Both units can be ordered with or without an internal clock recovery hardware
component (OCXO), which also requires a separate software license pack (see
). Using this component, the clock stream can be recovered from a
clock pseudowire that originates from a remote clock distribution device located
on the other side of the PSN.
License Packs
The available software license packs are:
PACK1
Enables the pseudowire over PSN functionality
PACK2
Includes ‘PACK 1’ and enables the clock recovery functionality
LDP
Enables the label distribution protocol (LDP) functionality
Applications
In a typical 3G over PSN application, ACE-3205 receives ATM-based traffic from
the Node B unit and TDM-based traffic from the BTS. HSDPA traffic is transmitted
over ADSL2+ and voice traffic over SHDSL using pseudowire connections. The
traffic is then received at the central site by ACE-3400, which transmits it
towards the RNC and BSC units, by using STM-1/OC-3c and N
E1/T1 CES links
respectively.

ACE-3105 uses either an ADSL2+ or an SHDSL uplink, as shown in the following
