Obtaining 3ware FreeBSD Drivers
The 3ware software CD-ROM that came with the 3ware RAID controller
includes compiled and tested kernel driver modules for FreeBSD 6.1 only, and
source files for 5.x and 6.x series. To see if a more recent driver is available,
please see the 3ware web site at

Materials Required

3ware kernel driver module
The kernel driver module and the corresponding source files can be found
on the 3ware CD-ROM, at
/packages/drivers/freebsd/6.1/x86
or
/packages/drivers/freebsd/6.1/x86_64
depending on whether you have the 32-bit or 64-bit version of FreeBSD
6.1 (respectively).
The source for the 3ware FreeBSD kernel driver module is available at
/packages/drivers/freebsd/src/6.x

Installing the Driver under FreeBSD
The steps you follow to install the driver and make your 3ware RAID unit
available depend on whether it will be your boot device or will be used for
