If you are using a Mac computer
Connect as a Camera (PTP)
When you connect your YotaPhone to a computer as a camera (PTP), you can transfer photos
using camera software and transfer files that are not supported by MTP (Media Transfer
Protocol).
12.5. Tethering & portable hotspot
If your YotaPhone has a mobile data connection, you can set it up as a Wi-Fi hotspot to
share your mobile data connection with other devices. You can also share your phone’s
data connection through USB and Bluetooth. You can share your data connection with up to
5 devices at a time.
Set up a Wi-Fi hotspot
1. Download Android File Transfer tool from www.android.con/filetransfer and then
follow the instructions to install it on your Mac.
2. Insert the Micro-USB end of the cable into your phone and the other end into the
USB port on your Mac.
Connected as a media device will be displayed in
your YotaPhone's notifications drawer.
If you are using Android File Transfer for the first time, double click the
application to open it.
After you run the application for the first time, it will start automatically
whenever you connect your YotaPhone to your Mac.
3. Transfer files between your YotaPhone and your Mac.
1. Insert the micro-USB end of the cable into your phone and the other end into the
USB port on the computer.

to open the USB computer
connection screen.
3. Tap Camera (PTP). A window with the message Camera connected will pop up on the
computer screen after a few seconds.
