4.3 Displaying Snapshot Waveforms
You can measure waveforms while retaining the previous waveform on the screen (a snapshot). The
Instrument displays the measured waveform and the snapshot waveform at the same time.
Procedure
Snapshot Screen
1.
Using the
rotary knob
and
ENTER
, select
OTDR
.
2.
Display the waveform on the screen, and then press the
Snapshot
soft key. The soft key’s
display color changes momentarily, and a snapshot waveform appears.
The text displayed on the soft key changes from “Snapshot” to “Clear Snapshot.”
Take/clear a snapshot.
If you press this soft key when “Snapshot” is displayed, a snapshot will be taken
of the displayed waveform, and the soft key will switch to display “Clear
Snapshot.”
If you press this soft key when “Clear Snapshot” is displayed, the snapshot
waveform will be cleared, and the soft key will switch to display “Snapshot.”

You can also take a snapshot of waveforms that you load from files. For details on loading waveforms,
see section 18.2. You cannot take snapshots in Multi WL mode.
