Origin Search (Fn003)

Refer to the following section for information on this utility function other than the procedure.

 Key to turn ON the servo. The 

display shown on the left will appear.

 Key to operate the Servomotor in the for-

ward direction.
Press the 

DOWN

 Key to operate the Servomotor in the 

reverse direction.
The rotation direction of the Servomotor changes 
according to the setting of Pn000 = n.



Rotary Servomotors

Note: This is the direction when viewed from the 

load side of the Servomotor.

•

Linear Servomotors

Note: The direction in which the linear encoder counts up is 

the forward direction. Refer to the following section 
for details.

When the Servomotor origin search has been com-
pleted, the display will flash. At this time, the Servomo-
tor is servo-locked at the origin within one rotation of 
the encoder.

Turn the power supply to the SERVOPACK OFF and ON again after you finish the origin search.
