DISASSEMBLE
Pump Housing (8 or 9)
1.
Disconnect power to the pump motor.
2.
Remove pressure switch cover (2) and remove wire leads from switch
assembly.
3.
Remove the four recessed pump-housing screws (1) located on top
of the pump housing (8 or 9).
4.
Slide pump housing with diaphragm/cam assembly from motor
cam housing (5).
5.
Remove the two diaphragm support plate screws and remove the
upper housing from the diaphragm/cam assembly (4).
Check Valve Assembly (3) – Follow steps 1 through 5.
6.
The check valve housing and o-ring (3) located in the upper housing
(8 or 9) or on the diaphragm cam assembly (4).
7.
If in upper housing, remove by placing a small flat blade screwdriver
between the upper housing and check valve housing and pry out.
Diaphragm/Cam Assembly (4)
The diaphragm/cam bearing assembly (4) is sold as a completely as-
sembled replacement kit. Disassembly of this assembly is not required
for the rebuildi process.
REASSEMBLE
Check Valve Assembly (3)
1.
Install the o-ring into the o-ring groove located on the discharge slide
of the check valve assembly (3).
2.
Install the check valve with o-ring installed, into the upper housing (8
or 9). Then push in to secure the check valve assembly in place.
Upper Housing Assembly (8 or 9)
3.
With the check valve assembly installed, place the upper housing
facing down with suction valves facing up. Install the pre-assembled
diaphragm/cam assembly with inner piston positioned into the suction
valve wells (3).
4.
Align the diaphragm support plate screw holes with the holes in the
upper housing (4).
5.
Install two round head screws into the center blind holes on each side
of the cam housing and tighten security (4). (Torque to 18 inch-pounds.)
6.
Align the cam with the motor “D” shaft and slide the cam onto the shaft
aligning the diaphragm support plate on the four aligning pins in the
motor front endbell housing (5).
7.
Check the discharge direction (discharge right is standard).
8.
Install the four pump head screws (1) through the upper housing and
into the front endbell housing and tighten securely (1 & 5). (Torque to
25 inch pounds).
