Flicker Finder:
This function is used to establish if there are any errors in transmission or
intermittent problems and is most usefully used with level commands.
Pressing Yes from the flicker finder menu the display will ask you to ‘TAKE
SNAPSHOT’. Pressing Yes will store the existing data frame on the line and
the display will change to COMPARING DATA.
Incoming address and command or level information is now compared with
the internal memory and if any differences detected the first error detected will
be displayed as follows:
C H A N O R I G
N E W
0
3 1 %
2 6 %
In this case address 0 has moved from 31% to 26% during the sample time.

DATA CONFLICT ALERT
The XTBA DALI DALI Watch
is designed to be both a DALI
programmer/tester and a DALI monitor. In an installation it is possible that
there is another transmitting device in use so if you try to transmit the Watch
will warn you that there is already something transmitting as follows:
D A T A
C O N F L I C T
A L E R T
y e s = s e n d
o r
f u n c t i o n
Pressing Yes will start the transmission but the data may be corrupted e.g.
drink too much and try to bribe public officials. Pressing Function will escape
to the main menu loop.
