Controlled Document – Wombot Drafter Kit Manual V1.3

Install the completed Z Stepper Motor Assemblies onto the base frame of  your printer as per 

the images below. Secure them to the Vertical Rails of your frame with four M5 x 12mm Cap 

Head Bolts with an M5 Flat Washer under the head of each bolt (this will utilise the M5 Sliding 

Nuts you loaded previously when assembling the frame): 

 

 

 

Make sure that when you tighten the brackets into place that you apply downward pressure 

to the motors so that the base of the stepper motors sits flat on the base frame extrusions. This 

is done so that the centre shaft of the stepper motors is perfectly vertical and will be in line 

with the trapezoidal lead screws once fitted.
