Fit the Extruder backing plate to the face of the stepper motor using the supplied
countersunk M3 screw paying particular attention to the orientation of the extruder to the
connector on the stepper motor. Use the supplied long M3 Cap Head Screw fitted loosely to
temporarily align the extruder plate to the motor to achieve correct alignment. Gently
tighten the countersunk screw in place:
Fit the extruder cog to the shaft of the stepper motor paying particular attention to the
alignment of the grub screw to the flat section on the shaft of the motor. They
MUST
be
aligned. Note that the grub screw in the extruder cog is closer to one end than the other. The
end with the grub screw at it’s closest point must go on the shaft first (towards the extruder
backing plate) and when tightening this grub screw, the hex key must lay flat on the face of
the extruder plate:
