3.3.4.2 Support Bracket Options
The support bracket is used to secure the mast to a support structure.
The support bracket can be an:
• External Support Bracket
• Internal (Roof) Mounting Kit
External Support Bracket
The external support bracket (Figure 3-17, Figure 3-18, and Figure 3-19) is used to position and
support the mast.
The external support bracket is constructed from:
• (1) Support bracket weldment which positions the support brackets away from the support
structure
• (2) Support bracket clamps which close around the base tube and are bolted together to hold
the mast against the mounting structure
• Bearing strips attached inside the support brackets which protects the base tube from being
scraped by the support brackets and allows the mast to be rotated
• Hardware to secure the assembly together
Note: External support brackets for masts 9 inch (229 mm) base tube diameters have a brace
across the stand-off.

If the support bracket is too tight and hindering rotation processes, customer-provided shims may
need to be added to allow for slight variation.
