Replace the screw plug by the enclosed venting screw before starting
the planer.
Do not throw away the screw plug, you need it again when transporting
the planer.
Connect power plug with local power supply 400 V / 32 A / 50 Hz, right
rotary field.
Connect the service unit to local compressed air supply 6 - 8 bar.
After connecting the machine, check rotating direction of the current. Switch on the planer
and let it rotate max. 1 – 2 times. The knives will cut in the right rotating direction otherwise
change direction.
In case of a wrong rotating direction, there is the danger of damaging the hydraulic pump!

How to set the heating element temperature
Always set both temperature regulators onto the same temperature!
Display = Display of the actual value
Push shortly the button P (1), the display shows <SP>.
Change desired value with buttons

(2).
Push shortly the button P (1), actual temperature is displayed again (or
automatic change after 30s).
During heating up to desired value, the control lamp K2 (4) is on, having
reached the desired temperature, the control lamp K2 (4) is blinking.

A stop-watch should be available for recording the actual times for the heating and cooling.
The heating element surfaces are to be clean and, above all, free from grease. Therefore they are to be
cleaned with non-fraying paper and detergent (e.g. PE - cleaner) before every welding or if they are dirty. The
anti-adhesive coating of the heating element has to remain undamaged in the working area.
Do wear safety gloves as protection against burning.
Clean the heating element only in cold condition – danger of inflammation caused by cleaning
agents.
A table must be available from which the parameters for the pipe dimensions to be welded prescribed by the
welding prescriptions may be taken.
Activate main switch at the left control panel.
As soon as the main switch is activated, the heating element is heated up to the set welding temperature by
means of the temperature controller (reference value PEHD: 210 °C, also see chapter 5.3). The temperature
controller displays the current temperature.
