6. Welding process

Considerable injuries by crushing are possible:
- Between the inner clamping tools and the outer clamping tools and the end of
the machine.
- While opening and shutting the clamping tools.
- While driving in and out resp. in position driving of heating element
- While swinging in and out resp. in position driving of cutter

Visually check before each motion of the machine that nobody / no body part
or foreign object is in the motional area.
There is danger of combustion by heating element and welding area

Do wear safety gloves as a protection against combustion!
The noise level exceeds 80 dB (A) while working with the machine, especially
during cutting of pipe ends.
Ear protection is obligatory during cutting!
You may be injured by cutting chips flying around.
Necessarily wear safety glasses during the cutting of the pipe ends.
The machine must always stand on the leveling legs for welding!
6.1. How to insert and clamp the pipes

Unless the tables are driven apart, open the machine by pushing <Joystick> to: Open .

Select <Mode select> level: 2 .

Open the left clamping tools by pushing <Shell lift L> to:

and the right clamping tools by



Insert the first pipe e.g. into the left clamping rings. In order to cut you must insert the pipe
in a way that the pipe sufficiently overlaps to the inside (min. 110 - 120 mm). Afterwards,
shut the clamping rings by pushing <Shell lift L> to:


Make sure while clamping the rings that
the fish plate does not get jammed.

If necessary align the fish plate manually.
