Note:
Ensure that the test bag is not damaged and test its
function regularly, e.g. in the context of device
servicing.
8.1 Intervals
Before each use:
•
Perform a functional check.
After each use or dismantling:
•
Clean, disinfect or sterilize the ventilator and its
components (see “7. Hygienic preparation” on
page 40);
•
Check the lip membrane in the patient valve (see
“8.3 Checking patient hose system” on
page 48). It must not be crinkled, sticky or mis-
shapen.
•
Perform a functional check.
At least every 6 months, if the ventilator
has not been used in the meantime:
•
Perform a functional check.
