4. 

Separate  the  data  cable  assembly  from  the  printer  as  detailed  in  Paragraph  7.4.4  and 
lift the printer clear from the printer base. 

 

 

If  it  is  necessary,  remove  the  data  cable  from  its  cable  run  as  detailed  in  Paragraph 
7.4.4.  

 

 

7.4.4  Removing The Printer Data Cable Assembly 

 

1. 

Open both the top cover and printer base (see Paragraphs 7.2.1 and 7.4.1 respectively), 
then refer to Figure 14. 

 

2. 

Locate  and  remove  the  four  M3  screws  and  washers  securing  the  black  plastic  data 
cable boot to the top surface of the printer base assembly and carefully disengage the 
boot from the printer.   

 

3. 

With  reference  to  Figure  21,  locate  and  remove  the  data  cable  clamp  (two  M2.5 
screws and washers) and disconnect the data cable connector from the print head plug.  
The data cable and boot should now be completely clear of the printer. 

 

4. 

Feed  the  data  cable  up  through  the  slot  in  the  printer  plate  assembly  until  it  can  be 
lifted clear complete with the cable boot.
