When reassembling the keyboard and display assembly: -
a.
Reconnect the connections between the display and keyboard PCB’s and thread
out through the slot in the keyframe back.
b.
Refit and tighten the four display PCB fixing screws to secure the display to the
keyframe back.
c.
Refit and tighten the six keyboard PCB fixing screws on to the keyframe. Ensure
that the screws are not over tightened or distortion may be introduced into the
keypad.
d.
Refit the rubber keymat to the keyboard PCB.
e.
Locate the keyframe moulding assembly over the keymat and turn the whole
assembly over so that the keyframe back is facing towards you.
f.
Refit the four keyboard and display assembly fixing screws into the keyframe
back and tighten until the assembly is secure.
Refit the keyboard and display assembly to the top cover in the reverse order to the
disassembly instructions.
The fare caption strips can be removed via the access trunking piece on the back of the
keyboard / display assembly. Access to the trunking can be gained by opening the top cover
of the ETM. There is sufficient length to each strip such that, when fitting them, a part of
each strip will project from the relevant trunking so that they can easily be removed in the
future. DO NOT TRIM THE EXCESS FROM THE STRIPS.
