7.2.4 Removing The Top Inner Cover
Working on the inside of the top cover, and referring to Figure 8, locate and remove the four
screws securing the top inner cover to the top cover.

7.2.5 Removing The Internal RLAN PCB Mount Assembly
The Internal RLAN PCB mount assembly consists of two components mounted together on a
panel. Firstly the RLAN PIC Controller PCB processes the RF signals into the correct format
for serial transmission. Secondly the 802.11b Radio Module transmits (to) and receives data
(from) the Access point in the depot. It is advisable to remove the complete assembly before
separating the two components. Access to the PCB’s is gained internally by removing the
inner cover described above.

Prior to removing the Internal RLAN PCB mount assembly, hinge open the top cover
as described in Paragraph 7.2.1.
