Maintenance. Reverse gear

Propeller shaft seal. Checking

If the boat has a Volvo Penta shaft the shaft seal must
be vented and lubricated directly after launching.

Vent the bushing by pressing it together while pressing
down on the shaft until water appears. Then press in
approx. 1 cc

water repellent grease

into the seal.

IMPORTANT!

The seal must be checked every

600 hours and changed as required. The seal
must be changed every ﬁve years, however.
