24 Vista SmartDisc 10IP
Configuration SmartControl or SmartControl PRO software allows you to set the
connection speed for remote and direct connections. In addition, AT
commands can be entered for initialisation and dialling of external dial-up
adapters, or for defining dial mode. Refer to the respective software manual
for more information.

SmartControl software and SmartDisc 10IP automatically detect a
connection between interfaces connected by the optional Vista null modem
cable. They will attempt to establish a direct connection. To this end, a special
cable plug code is queried when starting SmartControl software.
Note the required start sequence when starting up the SmartDisc 10IP
device with a connected modem. The modem must always be switched on
before your SmartDisc 10IP or simultaneously with the device (e.g. with a
plug connector). Otherwise a connection cannot be established via the
modem because the transmitter does not detect the modem.

Ensure to plug in the null modem cable before starting the device and the
