3.4.8 Factory Restore
Since the user has the ability to edit username and passwords for Web login, the
Restore Factory
Defaults
button resets the HDR-5000 in the instance case the admin users forgets their credentials. This
is done by holding down the check and
buttons on the front panel for 5 seconds. Then a confirmation
window will appear asking the user if they are sure they want to restore to factory default. If the user
confirms, the HDR-5000 will drop all preset and other customized settings on the receiver and return to
the factory defaults.
3.5 Block
Downconverter
3.5.1 Edit BDC Definition
The Edit Block Downconverter Definition section of the BDC page allows you to select from the three
default BDC definitions or create a new configuration with the
Create New
button. This page provides a
means to configure the BDC name, model, frequency range and local oscillator frequency. The BDC
parameters for the preset can be edited in the BDC Web interface page under the Edit BDC Definition
section. Within the Presets page, you can use the Select BDC drop-down to select existing BDC
configurations. The Local Oscillator (LO) frequency (in MHz), is unique for each BDC. There exist three
default BDC parameters from which to choose:
S-Band-2GHz
BDC
C2-Band-4GHz
BDC
C4-Band-6GHz

3.5.2 Parameters
When you choose to create a new BDC definition, you assign a name, type in a model number, a
frequency range and a local oscillator frequency. The BDC parameters for the preset can be edited later
in this Web page should you want to modify you parameters. The Local Oscillator (LO) frequency (in
MHz), is unique for each BDC.
