11. CONNECTING UP AND USING THE TRIMMER
The motorized trimmer is to be connected at the rear
(Fig. 11). The trimmer is started up when the board passes
between the rollers H1 (Fig. 7), and it stops automatically
when the board has passed through them. NOTE: Unplug
the AK97W trimmer from the mains before carrying out
any of the operations described below.
12. REPLACING THE TRIMMING BLADES
1. Remove all the protection devices covering the unit,
removing the three screws J1 from each side (Fig. 12).
2. Remove the screws K1 which attach the feeder unit to
the wheel L1, and remove the latter (Fig. 13).
3. Remove the screws M1 holding the blades in place (Fig. 14).
4. The blades can cut on both sides of the tooth on one of
their faces (1 and 2), and so the second cutting edge can
be used before replacing them by fitting the lower blade
in the upper holder and vice versa (Fig. 14).
13. ADJUSTING THE TRIMMING BLADES
Using knob N1, raise the upper blade holder until the board
can pass freely through (Fig. 12).
Feed the board between the four supporting rollers H1 until
it touches the slipper P1 of the blade holder.
The rollers of the lower blade holder can be seen to raise
the board a little above the guides A1 (Fig. 8).
Using knob N1, lower the upper blade holder until the
board just rests on the guides, and then the trimmer will
be ready for use.
14. REPLACING THE TRIMMING BELTS
Remove all the protection devices covering the unit,
removing the three screws from each side.
Remove the worn belt, and replace it with an original
VIRUTEX one, fitting it properly onto the teeth of the wheel
without forcing it (Figs. 12 and 13).
15. REPLACING THE TRIMMER BRUSHES
Remove the screws T1 on the cap S1, and remove the cap
(Fig. 15).
Raise the springs R1 (Fig. 16) pressing on the brushes, and
replace them with original VIRUTEX ones, ensuring that they
slide smoothly inside the guides. Refit the cap S1.
It is recommended to leave the trimmer running unloaded
for 10 minutes, to achieve good bedding in.
If protrusions or damage to the collector is noticed when
replacing the bushes, relathing should be performed at
a VIRUTEX technical service centre before replacing the
bushes. This operation should never be performed using
emery paper.
16. ADJUSTING THE EXTENDABLE GUIDE
1. Loosen the levers L (Fig. 1) and move the machine's

on the guides A1 (Fig. 8), touching the front face of the
machine - plate B1.
2. The board's run through the machine includes running
