Installing the 23-pin Connector Assembly
(If the prefabricated 23-pin cable assembly was provided)
22. Remove the 23-pin Connector
Assembly from the Accessory
Kit. It should resemble the
assembly of Figure 6.
a. Identify the cables required
for attaching to the 23-pin
Connector Assembly. There
should be a minimum of
three (3), power (22 to 28
VAC), control (RS-422/485)
and video (RG-59 or
equivalent). There could be
optional cables for Alarm
Inputs, the Relay Output
(jacketed twisted pair) or a
low pressure indicator.
b. Prepare each cable by
stripping back the jacket
and individual wire covering
to the dimensions shown in
Figure 6.
c. Identify each wire on the
site installed cables and
label it (A, B, C, D….etc.) in
accordance with Figure 6.
Repeat this on the 23-pin
Connector Assembly wires.
d. Connect the corresponding
lettered wires together
using standard wiring
practices.
e. Installing the connector
assembly is complete,
proceed to the Final
Assembly sub-section.
