Installing the Camera Dome
6. Place the Pressurized Housing’s carton insert with the
hole on a solid surface face up. Refer to Figure 9.
7. Remove the Housing and press the Fill Valve’s pin to
release any residual gas pressure.
8. Place the Housing in the carton’s hole with the Trim
Ring/Lower Dome Assembly facing up.
9. Remove the eight (8) screws from the Trim Ring/Lower
Dome Assembly and lift it up. Release the Housings
Safety Clip to disconnect the Safety Cord from the
Lower Dome. Keep the Lower Dome in safe area where
it will remain clean.
10. Locate and cut the tie wrap holding the four (4)
interconnect cables in the Housing. Unwrap and stretch
out the cables.
11. Prepare the Camera Drive as follows:
a. Open the box for the Camera Drive Assembly and
remove it. Set it upside down (camera facing up) on
a flat, solid surface.
b. Remove the mask from the camera and the
cardboard shipping insert. Replace the mask.
c. Locate the three (3) captive screws inside the
Camera Drive and loosen them until the drive is
free.
d. Lift the Camera Drive out of the Enclosure.
e. Place the Camera Drive upside down (Camera
facing up) over the Housing, resting it on the
Housing edge, and tilt it up about 60
°
.
12. Place the Camera Drive upside down (Camera facing
up) over the Housing, resting it on the Housing edge,
and tilt it up about 60
°
.
13. Connect all labeled Housing cables to the mating
Camera Drive connectors as shown in Figure 10. They
are TB1 (Power), J1 (Video), J2 (Alarm) and J3
(Communication/Relay).
14. Set the DIP switches for proper address and
configuration. For example:
DIP SWITCH S1 (Address 1):
1 - ON, 2 - OFF, 4 - OFF, 8 - OFF, 16 - OFF, 32 - OFF,
64 - OFF, 128 - OFF
DIP SWITCH S2 (typical configuration):
1 - ON (NTSC), 2 - OFF (VPS), 3 - OFF (DUPLEX),
4 - OFF (RS-422), 5 through 8 - OFF (not used)
